#1043 Unflattering friend on a diet

Tuesday 25th August, 2009

Dear Mariann,

My best friend of 10 years is very stubborn. She will insist that she is still the same size as when we were 16, despite the fact we have BOTH gained weight – we are both on the Chef Diet from QVC (good idea?) How do I convince her that she looks foolish flaunting her body without hurting her feelings too much?

Apply some cunning. Upload to Facebook all the unflattering, doubled chinned, images that you have of her. Then start tagging. When she starts to ‘de-tag’ and react in a hostile way to your actions (be prepared for this) you will have the perfect setting to indisputadly reveal that she is neither a super model, nor sweet sixteen.

She’ll probably de-friend you at this point. Or just nick your QVC ‘chef’ (seriously?!) diet plan.
